Text Box: Your domain name registration and site hosting require annual fees.
HyperText Markup Language (HTML) files are needed to create a web page. This is the basic language used when creating static websites. The text and pictures that you want displayed on your website are embedded in HTML.
Talking to a web designer such as Triple C Designs will assist you in making decisions that will increase the impact of your website and provide you with your exact needs.
Text Box: My potential clients often call with very little knowledge of what is needed in order to create a website. The key components of a website are: a domain name, hosting, and html files . These three items are necessary to display a web presence.
The domain name is the name of your website. For example, www.sacramentofans.com is a domain name that readily identifies the nature of the business. The domain name must also be registered in order for the world to find your business.
I strongly recommend that you choose several domain names. When working with your web designer to choose the best one. Your web designer will also be able to search for availText Box: able domain names and help determine which domain names are easier for search engines to find.
Think about what type of extension you should use, for example, .com, .net, .org, .co, .us, etc. Would it be beneficial for you to use multiple extensions? Your web designer will assist you with making these decisions.
Your website needs hosting services on a server, which is where your files are securely stored on a series of high capacity computers. When someone enters your domain name, the Internet routes the request to the hosting computer where your site lives, and the result appears on the screen.

Text Box: Back Up Your Files
Text Box: laptop’s hard drive was not damaged and my files were restored. This fiasco made me vow to back up my files regularly.
Here are some options for backing up your files:
Windows 7 offers an automatic back up http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Back-up-your-files to another device, network or drive.
Flash Drives are an inexpensive way to store your back up files and can be purchased at most office supply stores.
Text Box: With everything being digital or electrical, we rely heavily on our electronics to be there whenever we need them.
Last month my laptop crashed. As I pressed the power button and prayed that it would turn back on, I thought about all I have stored on my laptop that was not backed up. Although I store most of my files on flash drives, my precious pictures were not backed up. Quicken files were also at stake and music that I accumulated over the years had the potential to be lost.
My laptop never did power on. I was thankful that my Text Box: External Hard Drives are a more secure way to back up your files or even add more storage space to your computer. External Drives are usually 1 terabyte or more of storage space.
Do not take chances with your pictures, music, financial information, or anything else you store on your hard drive. Take it from me, please remember to back up all of your files often.
